When Packing. Don't forget to bring your Passport, Degree and or Diploma, Teaching Certificates, a good copy of your Resume / C.V. and Reference Letters, as we need those to process your work visa. We ask you to buy an economy return ticket, valid for one year but with an initial return within 30 days of your arrival, to Jakarta (Soekarno-Hatta International Airport) . Upon satisfactory completion of your contract, you will be reimbursed the full amount. IMPORTANT: You MUST have a return ticket when you enter Indonesia. Please do dot arrive with a one-way ticket. You will be denied entry into the country. To give you a ballpark figure for flights the following amounts have been the recent average. From North America $1500 USD From the UK £750 Pounds Sterling From Australia $1900 AUD From New Zealand $2200 NZD Note: The price of the ticket must be approved before purchase. When you arrive at the airport, you’ll need to buy a 30-day tourist visa (that is why it is important to initially book your return for 30 days after you arrive) which will cost $25 USD. That $25 USD will be refunded to you when you arrive at the school. During these 30 days we process your documents and then send you on a holiday to Singapore to pick-up your work visa, all expenses paid. After passing through Immigration and Customs, one of our Indonesian drivers and someone from the school will be waiting for you. Usually it is the Director of Studies or the Human Resource Coordinator. As you exit customs, please turn LEFT. You will see a sign with your name on it. From the Airport we will whisk you away to your new home which, depending on traffic, can take anywhere between 45 minutes to an hour. We will not expect you to start work the next day. Most of our teachers arrive on a Thursday so they have ample time to adjust to their new surroundings and fellow colleagues before starting work the following Monday.
